Charlotte Motor Speedway Chef Earns the American Culinary Federation Charlotte Chapter Chef of the Year Award

CONCORD, N.C. (Feb. 4, 2011) - Executive Chef of The Speedway Club
at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Michael Rosen, has been honored with the
American Culinary Federation, Inc. (ACF) Charlotte Chef of the Year award
for 2011. 
The award is presented annually to the culinarian who exemplifies
the highest standards of professionalism through certification, continuing
educational training, culinary competitions and community involvement.  This
is the third time Rosen has been bestowed with this coveted prize.
"This award is such a great honor because it is given from my peers
and not won through competition," said Rosen.  "Winning this award shows the
appreciation of all the members of the ACF."
In addition to the ACF Charlotte Chapter Chef of the Year award,
Rosen was recently elected vice president of the Charlotte Chapter of the
ACF, where he formerly served as secretary.
A native of Miami, Rosen now resides in Charlotte, N.C., with his
wife Nancy. Rosen joined The Speedway Club three years ago as executive
chef, and is responsible for all kitchen operations of the dining room and
banquet halls.
Rosen has more than 30 years of culinary-industry experience
throughout the United States in exclusive restaurants, conference centers,
hotels and country clubs.  He also managed the food and beverage operations
at the corporate sponsor village during the 1996 Summer Olympic Games.
Rosen has helped propel The Speedway Club at Charlotte Motor Speedway to one
of the most enjoyable dining experiences in Charlotte.
